When you place an order online:
We will gather all the information we need to process your order. (For example: name, email, postal address, billing address, card number or other payment method details, contact phone number). When you first place an order online you will also be given the option to opt-in for email marketing. We will not send you email marketing unless you tick the box to ask us to, or unless you have asked us to previously. You can opt out of email marketing at any time by clicking the Unsubscribe link.

As with all sensitive data, we keep all these details securely in our systems. The exception is payment details which are sent to and managed securely by our payment service provider. We do not keep a record of your credit card, for example, apart from the card type and last four digits for reference.

What we do with the information we gather

When fulfilling your order online: 
Primarily, we use the data you provide to us to fulfil our contract with you: we use your delivery address to know where to send your order; we use your email address to update you about your order status. We can only arrange your delivery with a contact number provided. This is a mandatory requirement from our shipping service.  
For marketing purposes we also use transaction data to analyse customer behaviour and to ensure we send you the most appropriate marketing (we don’t send you emails unless you ask us to). For example,

  • if you buy a certain product we might send you information relating to other products based on your purchase history;

  • if we want to know how many customers live in a certain area, we might generate a report to find that out.

  • The legal basis we use for processing data for marketing purposes is called 'legitimate interest'.

When you opt in to receive marketing from us 
We use any data you provide to us (at any time) as way to send you the most relevant marketing. For example: 

  • if you have provided us with your date of birth we might send you a birthday offer;

  • if you have entered a competition we might send you marketing relating to that product range;

  • if you have given us an address in a certain area we might let you know about a new store or stockist opening.

If you have not made a transaction with us, but you have opted in to receive marketing by email or any other method the legal basis for processing is called 'consent'. 

CASIOPEA LTD are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years. After this time, CASIOPEA LTD will continue to keep said information, if at this point you want to have all your information delted, please notify us.

How to unsubscribe from our mailing list?

From time to time we may contact you by email or post with information about our latest products, news, promotional offers and events.

When you first sign up for emails we will send you a welcome email to make sure you want to receive emails from us. If you do not want to receive our offers and promotions by email you can unsubscribe by clicking the unsubscribe button on any of our promotional emails or by emailing hellocasiopea@gmail.com.

*Please note that it can take up to 7 days to fully remove you from our mailing list, so you may continue to receive emails whilst your request is being processed. Any promotional printed material is printed in advance so you may also receive a mailing whilst your unsubscription is being processed. **Please note that service emails relating to your account and order cannot be unsubscribed from and will continue to be sent.

Sharing your data

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen.

We do pass some data to third parties in order for them to fulfil services for us, but they can only use this data to fulfil those services for us and cannot pass it on, use it to fulfil services for other companies, or use it for their own interests. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete or you wish for your data to be deleted, please write to or email us as soon as possible, at the below address. 

CASIOPEA LTD try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex, or you have made several requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
